Serie A: Ebuehi Missing As Empoli Hold Genoa

Super Eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi was missing in action as Empoli played out a 1-1 draw against Genoa in Saturday’s Serie A game.

The Nigerian international, who has made nine appearances for Empoli, was on the bench for the entire 90 minutes. He has bagged one assist in the league this ongoing season.

Genoa took the lead in the 37th minute through Ruslan Malinovskyi to the delight of the home supporters.

However, substitute, Matteo Cancellieri leveled parity for Empoli in the 67th minute with a beautiful header to silence the crowd.

All efforts from both teams to secure the maximum points proved abortive as they both shared the spoils.

The draw means Empoli sit 17th on the league table with 11 points while Genoa sit 15th on 15 points.
