Liverpool’s hope of reclaiming the top of the Premier League suffered a setback after the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by Man United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The draw means Arsenal will maintain their spot at the top of the league standing on 71 points, same with Liverpool with goals difference separating the two teams.
The Reds got the breakthrough midway through the half when Luis Diaz acrobatically finished from Darwin Nunez‘s flick on from a corner. 1-0.

Man United leveled parity thanks to a 40-yard shot from Bruno Fernandes to the delight of the home supporters.
The home side extended their lead in the 67th minute through Kobbie Mainoo, curling in from just inside the box on the turn.
However, Harvey Elliott won a penalty for a foul by Wan-Bissaka, which Salah converted to equalise with six minutes remaining of regular time.

Both Man United goals were GOAL OF THE SEASON contenders.
Bruno’s shooting technique was on full display. He controlled that shot admirably from so far out. On the flip side, Quansah’s error illustrates the danger of square passing when your opponent is playing high press. Square passing is ok when you’re attacking, but risky when the ball is around your vital area!
As for Mainoo, no wonder Northgate did not waste time to cap tie the lad to England, with Ghana also in the picture. That maturity and composure at just 18 yrs of age? What a player.
