Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has backed midfielder Eberechi Eze to step up and find his absolute best form for the Gunners as he settles into life at the club.
The England international completed a marquee £60 million transfer across London from Crystal Palace, wrapping up his debut campaign under Arteta with 10 goals across all competitions as Arsenal famously ended a two-decade wait to lift the Premier League trophy.

Despite that silverware success, Eze is still working to nail down a regular starting spot under the Spanish tactician, having yet to make a Premier League start or find the back of the net in the league this season.
However, Arteta in a chat with the club’s website, remains entirely confident that the playmaker has the full backing of the squad to hit his stride.

“Like everybody else, he needs to earn the right to play. That comes down to training sessions, and when you are on that pitch, to have the impact on the game that the team needs,” Arteta explained.
“Eze is going to have many opportunities to do that. His attitude is phenomenal and our players have to adapt as well to his qualities.”
