Aston Villa have confirmed the club-record signing of Senegal international Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports News, Villa are paying a fixed fee of £47.5m for Jackson, which could reach £65m.
The total package surpasses the £59.5m they agreed for Johan Maznambi earlier this summer, meaning Villa have broken their transfer record twice in this window.
Jackson has been signed as Ollie Watkins’ replacement, as he nears a £50m move to Al Hilal.

The England striker, who was not involved against Brighton, is currently undergoing a medical ahead of his move to Saudi Arabia.
“Nicolas Jackson is an Aston Villa player, after joining from Chelsea to become the club’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window,” Villa wrote in a statement.
“The forward arrives at Villa Park on the back of a stint at German champions Bayern Munich, having bagged 30 goals in 81 appearances across two seasons at the Blues.
“Senegal international Jackson is reunited with Unai Emery, with whom he shared a spell at Villarreal early in his career, and arrived at Bodymoor Heath to meet his new teammates, sign paperwork, pose for pictures and sit down with VillaTV for his first interview.”
