Felix has a reported 120million eur os release clause in his Benfica deal and the Portuguese giants have stressed they intend to hold out for the full amount if the forward is to depart this summer, but Goal claim Atleti believe they can negotiate a lower fee.
Los Colchoneros are also set for a windfall themselves when Antoine Griezmann departs and they could yet trigger his release clause. Atleti will face fierce competition for Felix but they are seemingly hopeful the prospect of regular game time will convince the Portugal international to move to the Wanda Metropolitano.
