Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Villarreal, NFF Celebrate Nigeria At 60

Spanish Laliga clubs Atletico Madrid and Villarreal and Premier League giants Arsenal have wished Nigeria happy 60th Independence Day celebration, Completesports.com reports.

The three European clubs sent their messages via their verified Twitter handles on Thursday.

Atletico Madrid wrote: “Wishing a very happy Independence Day to our friends in Nigeria.”

Villarreal Who parade Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze said:”Happy Independence Day Nigeria, 60 today! 

“We hope all Nigerian Yellows fans have a great day!”

And according to Arsenal that had former Super Eagles stars Nwankwo Kanu and Alex Iwobi wrote:”Chei! Naija celebrates 60 years of independence today! 

“Sending you all our best wishes, Nigerian Gooners.”

Also the Nigeria Football Federation and Super Eagles players past and present also took to their Twitter handles to wish the country a happy Independence Day celebration.

NFF stated:”Happy Independence Day Nigeria! Our beloved country is 60 today. Join us to celebrate.”

Former Eagles skipper and head coach Sunday Oliseh wrote on his handle:”Happy independence day to us all in Nigeria. Through ups and downs we still find a way to stay smiling. “Monkey no fine but him mama love am die ” Up Naija… God bless us.”

Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward Ahmed Musa sent his messages which reads:”My beloved country Nigeria is 60. Proud to be a citizen and privileged to be able to serve especially through the game of football.

“Praying that this new year brings about great changes and peace in the land. Wishing everyone a happy Independence Day.”

According to right-back Shehu Abdullahi:”Freedom in the mind, faith in the words and pride in our souls. I salute our forefathers who made it possible for Nigeria to stand high and mighty.

“The nation is as perfect or imperfect, but we found Freedom, Love, and Progress.

“Happy Independence Day! God bless Nigeria!!”

And Leon Balogun wrote:”Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Nigerians around the globe.”
