With the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino still around at Anfield, Awoniyi will need to bid his time before making his bow for the club.
The striker is however prepared to battle his way into reckoning at the club.
“The truth is, I always just want to be me on the football pitch,” Awoniyi told Trbalfootball.
“And the likes of Salah, Mane and Firmino prove everything is achievable, especially from Mane and Salah.
“But Firmino is totally different and amazingly fantastic from many centre forwards that I have watched.”
