Balogun Savours Wigan’s Historic Win Vs Hull City

Leon Balogun is in buoyant mood following Wigan Athletic’s 8-0 thrashing of Hull City in a Sky Bet Championship game at the DW Stadium on Tuesday night, reports Completesports.com.

It was Wigan’s biggest league win in history.

The Latics are also the first team to score eight goal plus at home in a single match in the English second tier since Manchester City in November 1987 (10-1 against Huddersfield).

“Back with a bang 💥 whatever happens: I’m proud & grateful to be part of THIS team at that time! The character of the team is simply amazing & I wouldn’t want to miss it! This win is for everybody working for, supporting and loving this club!” Balogun wrote on his Twitter handle.

Balogun featured for 78 minutes in the game before he was replaced by Alex Dobre.

The win saw Wigan climb to 13th position on 57 points while Hull are in the relegation zone in 22nd spot on 45 points in the league table.

Balogun has made nine league appearances for Wigan after arriving on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion in January.

The thick heads in Brighton should see themselves as failures, for as hard as they tried to make people believe Balogun wasn’t good enough, we’ be always believed he is proper good player n far better than what they, Brighton parade as defenders. We always knew it wasn’t for football reasons Balogun(the Boss) wasn’t playing. Ride high broda man Balogun, now a Wiganite.

Just as Zlatan Ibrahimovic said last week that “If he had been in AC Milan from the Start of the season, AC Milan would have won the Scudetto”..lol

I think I will also jokingly add that if the King of Defence “LEON BALOGUN had been at Wigan since the start of the season, they would have made it to the Play-offs at least” Sincerely speaking, since he came in the Latics have been on an upward trend. From Relegation zone to 13th on the log considered a safe place to avoid relegation and look up to next season. Shame on Brighton. I wouldn’t dwell much on there matter sha. The good news now is BALOGUN our Oyinbo wall master is Back! Keep shining
