  • A move to Queen’s Park Rangers is not a bad one for Balogun after being released by the Scottish giants, Rangers FC.
At 34 and couple with injury concerns, Leon Aderemi does not look the player, most top football clubs and mangers would prefer to keep in their fold. His move to QPR in the Championship should be considered a career saving. For those who know Balogun, barring any injury challenge, he’s a true professional and a mentally strong defence race with an amazing football qualities. He’s certainly a valuable addition to the repertoire of players at QPR and a delight to any coach.

From what we have seen of him in the national team in recent games, during the playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana in both legs, Big Balogun still has a lot to offer the SE; the younger ones including the defenders will benefit from his repository of leadership skills and experiences, being an emotionally competent defender. Being a technically gifted player, the likes of Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey and Croatian based Chidozie Awaziem will his find his presence in the team a massive boost to their development and confidence.
