Bayern Munich defeated Tigress UANL 1-0 in the Club World Cup final on Thursday evening adding another trophy to their cabinet.
The European champions came to life following a nervy start and went ahead through a neat strike from the inside right by Joshua Kimmich, but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) stepped in to call an offside.
Los Tigres continued to hold ground as the match headed to the closing stages, with a move down the left from Javier Aquino allowing Guido Pizarro to take aim, but he dragged wide.
Benjamin Pavard netted the winning goal for Bayern on the hour mark slotting the ball into an empty net after Robert Lewandowski beat Manuel Guzman to an aerial battle.
It was all Bayern in the closing stages, with Los Tigres unable to spring a turnaround but the Bavarians couldn’t add to their advantage therefore it finished 1-0 in Qatar.
