Bayern Munich are the latest club to be linked with a move for unsettled Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic. The 30-year-old is in his fifth season with the Catalan giants and has seen plenty of action, with 23 La Liga appearances this term, but it is the imminent arrival of Ajax starlet Frenkie De Jong that has thrown a spanner in the works.
Rakitic is said to be concerned that he will be marginalised when the young Dutchman appears on the scene and rumours suggest the World Cup finalist may seek a summer exit from the Nou Camp.

The Croatia ace is under contract until the summer of 2021 but it remains to be seen if he stays beyond the end of the current campaign, with Chelsea thought to be keen – although a transfer ban imposed by FIFA appears to have scuppered that potential move.
Sport are now reporting that Bayern have thrown their hat into the ring and will join the race for the talented schemer when the window opens in June.
