Benzema’s Hat-trick Sends PSG Out Of Champions League

Real Madrid have qualified to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League after knocking out Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Wednesday at the Santaigo Bernabeu Stadium.

The visitor took a shock lead in the 39th minute through Kylian Mbappe before Karim Benzema leveled parity in the 61st minute.

The Frenchman made it 2-1 on the night after Luka Modric picked him out with a delightful pass.

The 34-year-old then completed his hat-trick moments later, netting an outrageous finish with the outside of the boot.

Real book their spot in the last eight, with PSG producing an almighty capitulation having led the tie 2-0 at one stage.

In the other game, Manchester City made sure of their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League but were unable to add to their 5-0 lead from the first leg as Pep Guardiola’s side played out a dull goalless draw with Sporting Lisbon at the Etihad.

This guy and Lewy deserve balon d’or before they call it a quite in the game..

Their respective contribution to the game for their clubs season by season is so massive!!

Look at the way Modric went round the Real Madrid dressing room after the match, congratulating and encouraging everybody; his teammates, the physios, the coaches, etc.
Every team needs a guy like this…..

    What a game!
Fine margins. Mbappe had 2 goals ruled offside. He could also have had a hattrick in this game.
PSG looked like they had it wrapped up when Mbappe scored, but then, when you have guys like Benzema, Modric, and Alaba in your team, there is always hope.
Yes, PSG were the architects of their own downfall in the end. The Donnarumma calamity especially comes to mind.
Having said that, take nothing away from Real Madrid, who showed hunger and desire, and took their chances when they came.
See the energy and desire produced by old men like Modric at 36 yrs of age and Benzema at 34.
    Unbelievable!
I think Bayern Munich made a colossal mistake in allowing Alaba to leave the club.
After today’s performance, they are likely full of regret. They should have done everything possible to keep this gem of a defender.
A defender that Nigeria would have enjoyed so much, but missed out on, thanks to EGUNJE. Imagine the advantages a player like David Alaba could have brought to Nigeria. A solid defender who is comfortable as a center back or a left back, a freekick specialist, and a powerful left foot that can produce missiles from distance. Thanks to BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION, we miss out on all that.

  • Next thing people on this Forum will start saying if France can rely on Benzema what of Nigeria and Musa lol.. una dey live in dream land.. see quality that is the level of World Cup and maybe even higher come knock outs.. allow Eguavoen bring the best and stop complaining about Victor Moses, because knocking Napoli number 3 in Seria A and Leicester City frm England is no easy feet. Yes The Level of Europa League is a minute below Uefa Champs but it is closer to anything Musa is playing now.
