Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt says he is looking to review Joao Pedro’s move to Watford ahead of his January move. The 17-year-old has already agreed a deal with the Hornets after the two clubs agreed terms in October.
Pedro, who was also scouted by Liverpool and Barcelona, will move to England in January 2020 after he turns 18. Watford will pay an initial fee of £2million, but Bittencourt has now claimed he wants to review the contract that was signed before his arrival.

Bittencourt is hoping to delay his exit, but the move is still expected to go through eventually after his family visited the club’s facilities on Tuesday. When asked about his move, he told the Watford Observer: “His sale has messed with us all, not just for the sale, but the way the sale was made.
“There is no criticism about the suitability of the sale, which was made without any kind of problem. The point is that the club could have tried another way, another solution, before raffling such a talented player for such a low value. “I’m going to see the contract. Let’s see if there is a possibility to make him stay longer.”
