Sheffield United have reportedly made an official bid for Swansea City striker Olivier McBurnie. Chris Wilder is eager to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign and the manager is believed to have been tracking Scotland international McBurnie throughout the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old, who has just under two years left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium, scored 22 goals from 42 Championship appearances last term to help the Welsh outfit finish 10th in the table. United are looking to acquire his services and it is claimed they have made an official £10million bid for the striker, who recently said he was looking forward to working under recently-appointed Steve Cooper.
A move to the Premier League could be too hard to turn down for the Scot, who had a brief taste of England’s top flight when Swansea played at the highest level. McBurnie would become the Blades’ third summer signing if he makes the switch to Bramall Lane following the arrivals of Phil Jagielka and Luke Freeman.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
