Blues eyeing Judgement Day joy – Williams

Cardiff Blues will give everything they have to keep their season alive on Judgement Day, according to Lloyd Williams.

Blues will square off against Ospreys in the annual event at the Principality Stadium on Saturday after Welsh rivals Dragons and Scarlets meet in the early kick-off. After losing to Connacht last time out, Blues are desperate to bounce back and Williams has challenged his team-mates to make full use of the opportunity.

Williams told the club’s official website: “It’s not something we’ve spoken much about in the build-up, but a lot of the group have won here against Ospreys in the past. “But our focus has all been about playing well as a team tomorrow and making sure it’s not our last game of the season.

“We have the opportunity to play in a brilliant stadium, with two really good teams going at it, so it should be a great occasion. “The results over the last two games haven’t been ideal, but we’ve performed well at times during those games. “Conditions played a huge part, especially in Galway, and it’s just one of those things. “But tomorrow will be about putting our preparations into practice.

Training has gone well over the last fortnight, so hopefully we’ve given ourselves the best chance to win the game.”
