Boa Morte Set For Everton Assistant Role

Former Premier League regular Luis Boa Morte is set to become Everton’s assistant manager, according to reports on Wednesday. The 41-year-old, who enjoyed spells playing for Arsenal, Southampton, Fulham and West Ham United in the English top flight, is currently employed as Maccabi Haifa’s assistant coach.

The former Portugal forward cut his teeth in coaching with Sporting Under-19s back in his homeland before landing the manager’s job at Portuguese lower-league outfit Sintrense in 2017. He has been working at the Israeli club this year but Sky Sports News are suggesting Marco Silva is set to bring him to Goodison Park to succeed Joao Pedro Sousa on the coaching staff. Silva knows him well as he worked with Boa Morte when in charge of Sporting for the 2014-15 campaign and a reunion on Merseyside may well be on the cards.
