Boniface Bags 19th Goal Of The Season In Leverkusen’s 5-1 Win At Frankfurt

Victor Boniface was on target for Bayer Leverkusen who continued their unbeaten run with a 5-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Boniface, who came on in the 61st minute, converted an 89th minute penalty to put Leverkusen 5-1 ahead.

The 23-year-old has now scored 12 goals in 21 league appearances for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions.

Also, he has taken his tally in all competitions to 19.

Also in action for Leverkusen was Nathan Tella, who was in starting line-up before going off on 72 minutes.

The other scorers for Leverkusen were Granit Xhaka (12 minute), Patrik Schick, Jeremie Frimpong and Exequiel Palacios.

Up next for Xabi Alonso’s men is the Europa League semi-final second leg home clash against Roma.

In the first leg in Rome, Leverkusen recorded a 2-0 win.
