Bouchard Raring To Go

Bouchard Raring To Go

Former World No.5 Eugenie Bouchard insists she can get her career back on track at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships. The Canadian burst onto the scene in 2014, reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open and French Open.

She then reached the final of Wimbledon but Bouchard lost every showpiece that year and has yet to better those results.
The 24-year-old has just one WTA title on her CV but she is now confident of improving under new coach Michael Joyce.

Bouchard told The National: “I really don’t want to look back and try to be myself from five years ago. I want to be the best version of myself today and just always give myself a chance.

“Week after week if you keep pushing and keep giving yourself the chance, then one week you are going to break through. I have that belief and I just have to keep working towards it.”
