Bournemouth v West Ham Team News

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will be looking for a response from his side when they take on West Ham in the Premier League following their midweek defeat.

The Cherries were beaten by League One Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup in midweek and Howe will be looking for a response to that defeat when they take on the Hammers, another side who were humiliated in the cup by lowly Oxford.

Howe says his squad is in a stronger position after that game as it gave Simon Francis, Lloyd Kelly and Arnaut Danjuma their first minutes of the season.

Francis played an hour while Kelly played the full match and Danjuma came on as a substitute with 30 minutes left.
Howe said: “Three huge players for us, great to have our captain Simon Francis back after a long time out. “Lloyd made his debut and played well and Arnaut Danjuma had a nice little cameo which was positive.

“Having our captain back is a huge lift for everyone and the two players we signed in the summer we have high hopes for. We still have two or three to come back to make us even better. “For Saturday I think we’re pretty much as we were, we will see where we are in training  and go from there.”

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is also looking for a reaction after their thumping by Oxford and he too will revert to his full side.

Winston Reid and Michail Antonio remain out and none of the fringe players did their cause much good at Oxford.
Pellegrini is set to name the same starting XI that defeated Manchester United last weekend.

Manuel Lanzini has missed West Ham’s last two matches with a foot injury but will take Pablo Fornal’s place in midfield here if he recovers in time, with Fornal going back to the bench.
