I do believe COVID exist. No doubt. But somehow I disagree it’s existence/influence in Nigeria. So, Iwobi must have contacted COVID in Benin. Period!

When all the stupid administrators can’t plan well, everybody standing close to the players, all of them gathering to take pictures. Messed up this young man football club plan now. Me hissing.

    Imagine…
When they say ,”strict adherence to protocols”, it would look like WHO is playing.
Well, good enough, there are capable replacements in his position, I just hope he didn’t spread the virus inadvertently to other players that might eventually lead to CAF abandoning the match overall, few hours before it even started.
And then, we will have to wait longer in suspense for the AFCON ticket.
    I just hope not.

Wow! those clubs in the west (Europe) now have excuses not to release their players for International breaks going forward and this does not apply only to Nigeria or Africa but even for Europe, Asia and South American qualifiers.
This Covid-19 thing sef dey do the world strong thing.

Get well quick Iwobi, the healing hand is upon you for speedy recovery in Jesus name.

Ps: Nigeria just qualified without even kicking a ball (Lesotho 0 vs 0 S/Leone)

Etebo can play the number ten role,Aribo has shown in club football he can play as a number ten but has struggled in a super eagles shirt.
I would pick Shehu to partner Ndidi and Etebo to play as the attacking midfielder.Meaning Iwobi’s guile and craft will be missing but Etebo has energy and speed.

This is just nonsense, so how come did he make the starting 11 for the game CSN

  • I thought this players supposed to be given priority for vaccination, even at club level as well. What is going on?

Iwobi likely got it in Benin, but he could also have gotten it while they were boarding the several boats they used to sail to Benin. The environment was so roudy and disorganized, with people hurrying up and down. With proper planning and organization by the NFF, Iwobi very likely would not have Covid-19 today.
    NO FUTURE FOCUS.

Damn Alex is out hope you get well soon
Any ways covid is not a death sentence

  • Dr Banks 3 years ago

@pompei…..he surely did not get it from Benin. Covid-19 test usual can not pick up the infection within 2 days of infection unless they do an antigen test which is not yet readily available. So he must have got it from Nigeria while they were busy having dinner instead of focusing on the task ahead. Also Nigerians hardly follow the covid protocols and never test unless they are severely ill hence many guys are walking around with covid without knowing
Wishing Iwobi quick recovery and asymptomatic course of the illness, we will miss him big time
Congratulations also to the entire team of SE for qualifying for AFCON 2022 with 2 games to spare
