Is it that Paseiro, Finidi, and now Eguavoen didn’t know how to best utilize this guy?
@Kel, Maybe he does not get enough supplies from the back and midfield when he plays for the SE…
It is so obvious what the se midfield is primarily composed of. But people play dumb. Bunch of dribblers who want to show off, nothing but okocha.
How come others are scoring. It’s a matter if time. He almost scored in the last match. Let’s stop reading other meaning to this.
Ademola was also struggling at some point.
Just watched the highlights on live scores. Super Eagles need new midfield because the ones now are already “big men”, no selfless people because they all want to shine. Boniface goals and selfless assist were too clinical for him to be struggling in the national team. Perhaps, week in, week out trainings help him unless 3 days to match days, two “table soccer, express yourself” national team tactics
People forget that Osimhen did not score a goal from open play until his 8th or 9th match for the SE Eagles. He has gone on to score 20 goals in the next 25 games afterwards….thanks largely to Iwobi who was made to play right behind him
Boniface just needs to sync with the rest of the team as well as the right formation that will maximize his potentials.
At Leverkusen, he has 2 supports in Wirtz and some other dude who play close to him and also play for him. In the national team he has Chukwueze who is always hugging the bylines far away from him and Ademola who plays more for himself.
Flank Boniface with Ademola and Fisayo and put Iwobi behind them and y’all will be amazed at how Boniface will be roasting our opponents’ goalkeepers.
Leave Iwobi alone.Hes weak link in the midfield and Super Eagles entirely.the moment he was removed life line came to the team.If Iwobi was that Good as we think then there wouldn’t be much complain.Look at Eze, Olise.Put anyone of them you will see how good Super Eagles midfield would be.
Stop defending Iwobi because we love him amid he’s Okocha relative or that he was a former Arsenal player.
Let’s call a spade a spade and move Super Eagles for once.If we get Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea the midfield will come alive.
