Bayer Leverkusen have intensified their pursuit of Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez, Completesports.com reports.
According to TEAMtalk, the Bundesliga club have made fresh contacts with Rangers over the signing of the Nigeria international.
Fernandez arrived Ibrox from English League One club Peterborough United last summer.
The centre-back was named Rangers’ Player of the Season following a remarkable campaign that saw him scored five times for the Light Blues.
The Nigeria international also was named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Another Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund also have interest in Fernandez.
There is also interest from the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham United and Everton reported to be monitoring him.
Fernandez is valued at around €25 million by Rangers, a significant increase on the £3.5 million they paid to secure his services.
Talks are set to gather pace in the coming weeks, with Bayer Leverkusen poised to explore the possibility of a deal.
