CAF Hails Aboubakar After Impressive Display In Cameroon’s Six-Goal Thriller Vs Serbia

Confederation of African Football (CAF) have celebrated Al Nassr striker, Vincent Aboubakar’s incredible performance for the Indomitable Lions against Serbia at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Cameroon held Serbia to a 3-3 draw at the Al Janoub Stadium today November 28.

Jean-Charles Casteletto gave Cameroon the lead in the 29th minute and Strahinja Pavloic equalised for Serbia 17 minutes later.

Sergej Millinkovic-Savic made it 2-1 in third minute of added time in the first half.

Aleksander Mitrovic made it 3-1 eight minutes after the second half resumed.

Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar who came on as a substitute scored in 63rd minute and assisted Erik Choupo-Moting to make it 3-3 in the 66th minute.

After the game CAF took to their official Twitter handle to praise Aboubakar.

“The first substitute to both score and assist for an African nation in a #FIFAWorldCup match! A day Vincent Aboubakar will certainly remember for ages,” the Tweet reads.

Aboubakar has one goal and one assist in two games at the Qatar 2022 World Cup so far.

Cameroon have one point after two games. The Indomitable Lions play Brazil on Friday December 2 at the Lusail Stadium.
