No Super Eagles stars made the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Best X1 for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Completesports.com reports.
CAF released the list on Monday following the conclusion of the competition.
None of the players including Moses Simon, who had an outstanding tournament also made reserve bench.
Champions Cameroon had four players in the squad with goalkeeper of the tournament; Edourd Mendy, Saliou Ciss, Namplays Mendy and Most Valuable Player Sadio Mane among the Best X1.
Silver medallist Egypt have three players on the list with Vincent Aboubacar the only Cameroonian player in the squad.

This list is purely countries that made it to the too 4. In real sense, more than 1 Nigerian should be there despite the fact that we lost out.

My problem with Amunike is this he was asked just yesterday about the Position and lied to the media saying that no one has contacted him yet bla bla. only for the news to break less than 3 hrs later. I knew he had been contacted as it was confirmed almost 3 days ago, I mean the man was even constant in our camp in Cameroon.
First Point all Nigeria people in charge of our football this is the reason we can never iron out the real problem is because of many stories and confusion everywhere. What is so wrong about saying ye I have been but we will see what happens all these lies and stories need to stop, that is the same case with Dennis Ommission and Lookman switch Pinnick has told about 10 different Stories to media about each matter is is scary. I tire for this country everything begins with honest!.

They remove a coach because according to them they couldn’t win Afcon .Then appointed another who got bundled out in second round but they are satisfied with his performance because according to them ,he played nicely.What a joke country.
They will still make noise that they want to reach semi final in the world cup despite reaching only second round in the continental tourney.
Nigeria will disgrace Africa If they qualify for the world cup.
Nigeria problem is :
Almost everybody is a coach ,the media ,the fans , ex footballer etc.
The former footballer can’t stop bad mouthing any foreign coach , in other countries former players rarely get themselve involved in remote football management.
If Nigeria doesn’t qualify for worldcup the better.
Most of the coaches who win trophies are normally with their teams for considerable period .
Bogus CAF List. Gabaski was better than Onana and understandably second to Mendy, Elneny and Nemplays Mendy has no business here. Toko Ekambi would have been slotted in the team as well for his overall display. Africa will always make terrible judgement as always.
Nigeria now wants to go to world with acoach who’s experience is qualifying Tanzania to Afcon being bundled in the first round and somehow they except to come out of the group stages?!
