2022 WCQ: ‘It’ll Take A Miracle For Black Stars To Beat Nigeria’  –Ghana Legend Admits

Former  Ghana star Mohammed Polo claims Black Stars will need a miracle to overcome Nigeria for a place at this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, reports ghanasoccernet.com.

The Black Stars will take on bitter rivals Nigeria in crucial final playoffs in March.

Ghana endured their worst ever performance at the just concluded AFCON 2021 where they crashed out at the group stage.

On their part, Nigeria got to the round of 16 before losing to Tunisia.

And Polo, a member of Ghana’s 1978 AFCON winning squad,  has stated that Black Stars need divine intervention to get past Nigeria.

“What is happening will not help us,” Polo told Free FM

“Even if we are able to qualify for the World Cup, it will not help us because this is not the quality.

“To be frank, football goes beyond logic. But you need a coach who can put certain things together so that if he is able to win then he can take us to the World Cup.

“But to be frank, the quality of our football today, if we are able to go past Nigeria and go to the World Cup, we shall thank God. But the World Cup is also a different thing.”

Where is the it will take a miracle? CSN self…If a depleted Tunisian side can do it then there is no big deal with the Ghanian side. The secret is just get men to mark out Moses Simon as usual! LMFAO! Over cast, one pattern wing football. LMFAO!!

    • @MONKEY POST you see when i say you don’t reason then you will say I am insulting you.. Lol if they think Marking out Moses Simon can guarantee them a win the you are clearly lacking of sense.. if and when Nigeria selects properly Moses Simon my man is a impact player of the bench at best. they will have to deal with hopefully victor Osimhen, Victor Moses, Emmanuel Dennis, Samuel Chukwueze (who is racking up fitness now and game time), Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman. Bro let me tell you you really need to keep up with ball man. I hope they listen to you and think marking out Moses Simon gives them a win.\

I will not Mention Michael Olise because i know that is a stretch with the kind of NFF president we have even Ade Lookman might be too but even then Victor Osimhen alone and Chukwueze will be too much for Ghana to contain.

We have too many weapons you are making me laugh if you think Moses Simon is a full strength Super eagles most dangerous player. Really you are

      • Moyee 2 years ago

You cant mention Chukwueze now, he has refused to take his game to the next level.

    • Monkey will always be monkey anytime anyday.

    • Razak 2 years ago

Yes it will take a miracle for Ghana to beat Nigeria but miracles do happen,Nigeria have a good team but with Equavoen as a coach of Nigeria a monkey can defeat Nigeria please do study their games, and you will know what I am saying, Tunisia did it Ghana can cause an upset good luck

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Ugo Iwunze you want to use Chukweze to achieve that your one pattern wing play football against Ghana?? The chukweze that performed below average at the just concluded Afcon or who? Or you want to send Osimhe(perfect strong number 9) to the wings??.. LMFAO!! Or I see you guys are scared and want to be unpredictable this time.. cowards! Be brave nah

  • @Monkey post, can you share with us how you think se can overcome Ghana? You never can tell who might be reading your comment.

Don’t mention changing of technology crew because that one is a no go area, I want you to limit your scope to players alone.

    Am waiting bro.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

Even mr wing (Eguavon) is bent on not ditching the wing play philosophy anytime soon or changing pattern. And he is bent on still sticking with Moses simon as the protagonist of the philosophy. And you are there day dreaming.. LMFAO!! Anyway that is why you all are a fans.. LMFAO!!

LMAO! We no go gree o! We must continue with our wing play philosophy. LMFAO!

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Yinkus it seems you have forgotten that the sidon look movement is still on. LMFAO! Ain’t sharing shit! I just want Eguavon, the fans(you guys) and NFF as a whole to feel the pain that comes with the injustice and gang up melted out to GENERAL ROAR! LMFAO! Am not yet satisfied with the pain that you guys got from the round of 16 blunder. LMFAO!!

    *ON GENERAL ROAR*

  • Well @ Monkey post, lemme tell you something even me was pained when Rohr was sacked. But lemme shock you again even if Rohr is the one who lead us to that afcon, if God says is not ours Rohr can’t change that.

We appreciate Rohr, We love him and we wish him well. That is now in the past.
@Monkey don’t see that early exit as divine punishment because even before that tournament nobody expect the team to play a good game again egypt going by the circumstances that surround the preparation.

So don’t think is everybody that was pained by the early exit.

In fact the hope of lifting it was only rekindle having seen their first game.

On paper and on the field of play, with Rohr or without Rohr some of us knew that we have 80% of average or below average players hence no surprise at all by the outcome of AFcon.

If you truly believe my last statement by now you would have moved away from wishing se or the entire 200m fan pain because of a man that was sacked.

Rather than wishing and praying for the pain of 200m people. Bring out your suggestions. Let people know how you would have done it better if you were in charge. Suggest good players, suggest good tactics to me adopted.

@Monkey post if you continue to wish egu and the other crew failure, God might turn it arround in their favour against your expectations. So brother man let us leave that bitterness thing. Even God placed mark on Cain so that no one will be able to avenge the blood Abel.

I am a togolese? LMFAO! You try sha for giving me a complete citizenship.Others say I am half cast.
LMFAO.. it seems there are no more my kind in this planet. The kind that will always say the truth, stand against injustice whether it was melted out on his country man or not. White or black. LMFAO! Keep lying to yourself..

If you like dig up Chukweze video from his time in owerri and add.. Shebi na march? Ok. Na sidon look we dey o..

    • Emecco 2 years ago

@Monkey Post, You are not only a clown but you lack common sense, If Rohr, that was sacked had moved on,. Why can’t you?? Coaches are hired and fired all over the world and they move on. Wishing Eguavoen and SE failure because Rohr’ was fired is stupidity of the highest order. We will beat Ghana and qualify for the world cup .We are Super Eagles fan and not a fan of any Coach. We all support whoever the present coach is, we wish him success. That’s how a sensible fans should behave. We have no business with Rohr’ any longer. It’s Eguavoen/Amuneke/every other member of the coaching Crew we know.

Thor or Nigerians nor send you this one … monkey post, you are on your own….

  • Is anybody still taking Monkey serious on this forum. Posts from monkeys should be ignored. You only give them bananas… laugh..

Mr. monkey post. You really live rohr sha. Best of luck.

    • Emecco 2 years ago

Bro, he loves Rohr’ so much that it makes him lose his senses, How can you wish your country doom because a coach was fired.?? I wasn’t even in support of the firing of Rohr’, but Still I can’t wish Eguavoen Doom, For what naa?? In all fairness Eguavoen did his best in the last Afcon, He stuck to his Philosophy , it worked for 3 straight games. It didn’t work in the 2nd Round, Though you could argue that Maduka’error and Iwobi’s sending off aided our loss. But even with 10men we could still have drawn level, If Sadiq and Simon had converted their late chances. I can’t see any wrong Eguavoen did that could warrant Monkey post to wish him the worst. Team’s like Barcelona, Bayern or even Arsenal stick to their Philosophy, Eguavoen even tried to alter things in the 2nd half of that Tunisian game, He introduced both Sadiq and Olayinka and they were more Direct. He really wanted to turn things around, but it wasn’t to be. Infact Monkey Post or whatever your name is ,: anything You open your gutter to wish my beloved SE doom again, I will invoke my village “Oracle” to you and your entire family. Rubbish.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

Where and how did I wish the super eagles doom? So e dey pain like this? LMFAO! When you guys were wishing GENERAL ROAR to fail so he could be sacked no one judged you but now I only said I go continue to sidon dey look. These is all I get? SMH…

    • Emecco 2 years ago

No one wished Rohr’ bad, fans were disgusted at our pattern of play, especially in the home games against CAR and Cape Verde.

  • Ezekiel 2 years ago

E no dey shame you say una no even fit win one afcon match na yo fight una captain Sabi
    Lousy set of goats… rubbish

  • DANURCHMAN 2 years ago

Nigeria will be beaten by Ghana in Ghana and Ghana will get a draw in Nigeria. I am not wishing our Nigeria bad. I am a full Nigerian from the South. Eguavoen will flop with the SE. Take it or leave it, it is the reality. Eguavoen is not the coach we need. We will still go back to the drawing board. If anyone likes, let him insult me, but back to sender.

    • Machaveli 2 years ago

@ DANURCHMAN: I hope you have the courage to resurface here after the games in March? Bad belle jealous unpatriotic fool.

      • Emecco 2 years ago

Bro, the guy above you is not only a fool but also a nincompoop, he is just trying to seek attention, let’s we Patriots just ignore him.

  • pompei 2 years ago

    Monkey Banana,
Rohr matter is in the past.
    Let us move forward.
    Please stop monkeying around.

  • Monkey Post!! Amazing how una wan begin talk like Naija, but una pigin no just carry water, e no sweet, lol. I’m sure you know that, making it into a Tunisian Football National Team is no joke…depleted or not, it’s still Tunisia (a Football powerhouse in Africa). Compare that to Comoros Island that has NEVER won a World Cup qualifier, scored a goal after 20 attempts, NEVER qualified for AFCON, scored their first ever goal against Ghana, and their first ever AFCON win against Ghana, yet Ghana is supposed to be a Football powerhouse in Africa. Millions did not even know where Comoros Island is (you probably don’t),thanks to Ghana, Tourism to the Comoros has now been inadvertently promoted, lol!! Then Ghana took to “Boxing”..on a Football pitch during a Football match (utter disgrace).Sacked Milo, now both GFA and Ghana Government are at loggerheads as to who to pick as next Coach, with CAF warning the two. You guys better keep the Ayew brothers, and Wakaso, and appeal frantically to Odoi…as at the moment Ghanaian born Footballers abroad are refusing to play for Ghana due to how you people treat them!!
