Recall that Trepy got into difficulty in the deep end of a swimming pool where he could not touch the bottom and inhaled a significant amount of water.
The Cagliari club shared an official statement containing medical assessments from the staff at Santissima Annunziata General Hospital in Sassari, where Trefi is receiving inpatient treatment.
The hospital side stated that they gradually reduced the amount of ventilator support and sedatives administered to guide Trefi to naturally regain consciousness from the coma.

The 20-year-old, who joined Cagliari in 2022 and impressed in his Serie A debut, continues to recover with stable respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
However, since he continues to receive intensive care in the intensive care unit, it is expected that he will be unable to participate in the new season’s Serie A opener against Parma on the 22nd.
