Bursaspor star Kelechi Iheanacho has disclosed that it is fantastic to play in front of one of the biggest fan groups in Türkiye, expressing confidence that their home support will keep the team strong.
The Nigerian international has made a flying start to the 2026/27 Turkish 1. Lig campaign, scoring two goals and providing an assist in his opening two league appearances.

In a chat with Fotomac, Iheanacho noted that as long as the team has the supporters behind them, Bursaspor will not easily lose matches at home in Bursa.
“It’s fantastic to play in front of one of the biggest fan groups in Türkiye.
“As long as we have their support behind us, we won’t easily lose matches in Bursa,” Iheanacho said in quotes revealed by Fotomac.
Iheanacho’s Experience At The Highest Level
The 29-year-old joined Bursaspor on a free transfer after leaving Scottish champions Celtic, where he helped the club win the domestic double during the 2025/26 campaign.

Iheanacho’s immediate impact has strengthened Bursaspor’s promotion push, with the club targeting a return to the Turkish top flight.
