Others are defenders, Isa Ali (Remo Stars), Ibrahim Buhari (Plateau United) and Rivers United forward, shaq Rafiu Kayode.
Reacting to the invitation of the local players, Shooting Stars forward, Wasiu Alalade, said: “This is huge because it’s not a CHAN team, but the main squad. I hope this continues.”
Also reacting to the development, Rivers United captain, Festus Austin noted: “I’m sure the invitation will go a long way in motivating the local league players.
“Indeed, it’s a huge encouragement to the league and its pool of talent. This will also create a healthy competition amongst players in the NPFL.”

NO just go fall Salisu hand.
I have always called for local content in the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles. Naming 2 NPFL goalkeepers as worthy back ups to Maduka Okoye is definitely step in the right direction.
Lobi Stars Stanley Nwabili showed massive potentials when he featured for the Super Eagles last year.
It is now up to Adewale and Ojo to grab their opportunity with both hands if given the chance.
The goalkeeping department was the Achilles heels of the Super Eagles against Tunisia and Ghana despite the plethora of quality options in the NPFL.
Things might just be about to change.
