The Super Falcons posted a solid if not spectacular performance to book a place in the semi-final of the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.

The defensive midfielder was a delight to watch. Controlled the midfield and also protected the defence.
CHRISTY UCHEIBE 7/10
Another good showing from the Benfica midfielder. She was replaced by Regina Otu late in the game.
NGOZI OKOBI-OKEOGHENE 8/10
Combined well with Halimat Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe in midfield. She played a key role in Nigeria’s winning goal.
RASHEEDAT AJIBADE 9/10
The girl with the blue hair scored the decisive goal for the Super Falcons and deservedly won the Woman of the Match award.
FRANCISCA ORDEGA 7/10
The winger played well in the game. She was replaced by Uchenna Kanu in the second half.
IFEOMA ONUMONU 7/10
She was a bit isolated upfront at times. Produced a superb cross for Rasheedat Ajibade’s winning goal.

She helped protect Nigeria’s lead after replacing Ashleigh Plumptre in the 63rd minute.

Didn’t do too much following her introduction in the second half.

I think ordega should withdrawn a bit to the midfield to replace rita, as she nolonger have the pace and force to attack,
Ayinde, ngozi, and ordega midfield will provide more maturity and a precise ball distrubution, then a player like alozie, kanu, gift monday, or one of the paynes can join the attack.
This coming wcup will pronounce the super falcons, if oshiola can give us what ajibade is doing already the falcons will go far. I like our diffense and our numerouse wingback in the team, the attack is good to go, but the midfield still need a playmaker to creat more danger, i think either toni payne or ordega should be tried in that role.
