Cameroon head coach António Conceição will be banking on the duo of Eric Maxim Choupo -Moting and Karl Toko Ekambi to deliver the goods for his side in Friday’s (today) friendly encounter against perenial foes Nigeria, reports Completesports.com.
The prestige friendly will take place at the 10,000 capacity Stadion Weiner Neustadt, Vienna.
The Indomitable Lions are without a win in their last three games against the Super Eagles.
The five-time African champions have lost twice and drawn one.
In their most recent meeting, Cameroon lost 3-2 to the Super Eagles in a Round of 16 clash at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Conceicao’s side will be determined to avenge the defeat and the duo of Choupo-Moting and Ekambi will be the men they will be banking on to help wreck the Super Eagles defence.
Choupo-Moting, who plays for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich has scored 16 goals in 55 appearances for the Indomitable Lions.
The forward scored thrice in 22 league outings for Bayern Munich in the recent concluded campaign.
Ekambi scored 14 goals in 35 league appearances for Ligue 1 club Olympic Lyon in the 2020/21 season.
The 28-year-old has three goals in 33 league appearances for his country.
