Shey na Samuel Etoo hand be this? Make e no become FA chairman ni, him buddy become Cameroon coach Kia kia….man pickin smell a rat o.. lolzzzz a dancing rat for that matter (dancing rat, Song, do the maths). Lolzzzz lolzzzz za za za za za za.

    • No, I think this was government interference. Etoo as FECAFOOT president had no hand in it. Report says Song’s appointment was a direct order from their despotic, life president Paul Biya, which is why it was the sports ministry that announced the sudden appointment and not FECAFOOT.

They disrespectfully by-passed Etoo and undermined his position. There might be a collision with FIFA and also Etoo. Will Etoo and Song have a smooth working relationship? Will Song see and accord Etoo respect as his boss (even though in reality, it should be the reverse)?

I suspect that if Etoo openly disagrees and expresses his displeasure with Song or the appointment, he will likely be eased out via high-level sports politics puppeteered by the government. Currently, he has been effectively rendered a lame duck president.

Since Cisses led Senegal to the Afcon trophy this year, Cameroon seemed to have been flirting with the idea of having a rugged, rasta version of their own in charge of their team too. But unlike Cisse, I doubt Song has the capacity to lead the team to glory. In fact, I have a feeling Algeria will beat them to the World Cup ticket this month.

Thanks for the information some gullible mumu would’ve just been misled. Records, mostly internet archives never lie. I wish Rigonert Song a successful reign but not at the detriment of Nigeria. God bless Nigerians.

Congratulations cameroonians for believing in your own. We all saw the expatriate failed to win Afcon Gold despite the numbers of years he trained the Lions. Local coaches all the way.

It is good that more countries are coping Nigeria in installing a domestic coach.

    • Taiju 2 years ago

      Correction..’copying Nigeria

      • Detruth 2 years ago

How is any African Country copying Nigeria?

South Africa almost never hire a foreign coach, Egypt has an Egyptian as coach of the team 80% of the time same as Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Libya and Morocco.

The Senegalese coach “Aliou Cissé” was appointed in March 2015.

So tell me how any other African countries copied Nigeria.
