Carabao Cup: Iheanacho Scores In Leicester Win Vs Burton; Iwobi Helps Everton Down Watford

Kelechi Iheanacho scored on his first start of the season for Leicester City who defeated Burton Albion 3-1 in their Carabao Cup Fourth Round clash at the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday night, reports Completesports.com.

Iheanacho opened scoring for Leicester City in the seventh minute after he was set up by Youri Tielemans. He was replaced in the 66th minute by Harvey Barnes.

The 23-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance for the Foxes in the Premier League this season also scored a goal in Leicester City’s 4-0 win against Luton Town in the previous round.

Tielemans and James Maddison scored the other goals for Leicester City.

Iheanacho’s Nigeria teammate Wilfred Ndidi only made a cameo appearance in the game after taking the place of Hamza Choudhury in the 88th minute.

At the Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi was in action for 90 minutes as Everton recorded a 2-0 home win against Watford to move into the quarterfinals.

Iwobi has scored once in two appearances for Everton in the competition this season.

Mason Holgate and Richarlison were on target for the Hornets.

Isaac Success missed out for Watford as a result of injury.

    That number 20 Hamza is a mate.He’s from a Caribbean origin and lives in the Merseyside.Fast and very explosive defensive midfielder with a quick feet.Ndidi is the reason he has had just only a handful of games.

      I wonder who the group of persons advising Iheanacho are…How can a bright young player just be comfortable sitting on the bench or even sometimes left out of the matchday squad totally week in,week out…May God open his eyes early enough before it is too late
