The 21-year-old provided the assist for Dwight McNeil who gave Everton the lead in the 53rd minute.
Commenting on Iroegbunam’s performance, whoscored.com wrote: “Partnering Eze in the middle of the park is Everton youngster Tim Iroegbunam, who is good value for his inclusion. Indeed, Iroegbunam provided the assist for Dwight McNeil’s opener in the Toffees’ 3-0 win over Doncaster, that coming from one of two key passes, and chipped in with 11 tackles and seven dribbles in a superb showing.“
In June 2024, Iroegbunam joined Everton for a fee reported to be around £9m, signing a three-year deal.
He made his debut for the Toffees during the opening game of the Premier League season, a 3-0 home loss to Brighton on 17 August 2024.
Iroegbunam is a product of the West Bromwich Albion academy and spent the 2022–23 season on loan at EFL Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Also, he appeared for England at U-19 and under-20 levels, winning the UEFA European U-19 Championship with the former in 2022.

Those closer to Tim Iroegbulam say the effervescent midfield dazzler is interested in representing Nigeria after playing for England at youth level. The NFF and our football administrators will as usual delay facilitating his invitation until it becomes too late as was the case with Eberechi Eze,Folarin Balogun(USA),Fikayo Tomori,Tammy Abraham,Bukayo Saka and recenly Noni Madueke who has been called up for the Three Lions upcoming Nations League fixtures Dominic Solanke ,Carney Chukwuemeka,Ethan Nwaneri ,Arthur Okonkwo,Sam Edozie etc will soon be captied by England.
Is it not strange that many years after the celebrated nationality switch bf Alex Iwobi’s childhood friend and Ajax striker Chuba Akpom, from England to Nigeria, the free-scoring striker has continued to be overlooked by our national team selectors.
Please ,Nigeria must not lose Tim Iroegbulam! The Everton man deserves a place in the current Super Eagles.
Not having a coach played a role..
What is a player like Yusuf doing in the squad when this Everton player is available..
There was no coach to go speak with new players so the reason for the delay..
I tell the worst thing to ever happen to our football is that thing called Austin Eguavon. He is shameless and I don’t know what to call him . He has been in charge of Nigeria technical director for ten years yet not to show for it. He passivity has made him preferable to every FA chairman. Once he is gone ,things will continue to be better.
