Alex Iwobi failed to make Everton’s matchday squad for the second consecutive game after his omission from Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Salford, reports Completesports.com.
Iwobi was not included in the squad of 18 players for Everton’s opening league clash against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
The arrival of Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Dacoure has pushed the 24-year-old down the pecking order.

Everton are reported to be interested in listening to offers for the Nigeria international and his latest omission would further lead to questions about his future.
Iwobi only joined the Toffees from Arsenal last summer.
He scored once in 25 league league appearances for the Toffees last season.

Iwobi and Iheanacho needs the leave their current teams to revive their career if the want to remain relevant in Super Eagles. We know what they can do on their days but they need to get playing time. And competition in SE will not allow room for bench warmers. It is better to be a top player in an average club than a bench warmer in a top club.
Iheanacho definitely has more of a case than iwobi. Kele has been a constant performer for Leicester since last season but coach rogers doesnt give him enough time to play instead using him only when the going gets tough or when vardy is injured.
He needs to leave Leicester and go to where he will be better appreciated.
But iwobi’s issue has to do with his game. He isnt doing enough to be selected, he isnt outstanding. He really needs to put in more effort to become more relevant in a team. I don’t think the coach has the patience to allow him rediscover himself like rogers did for iheanacho. So he needs to find a club where he can rediscover himself and work on his game. If he doesn’t improve,well, he can remember what happened to Aina, ajayi and iheanacho who were all dropped from the team but latter received call ups when their game picked up. Well,I have tried so hard not to comment on this matter, but the recent ommission of Iwobi from the cup game has further confirmed that the omission of Iwobi from the Everton team is much more than just his ability.
Iwobi, as far as am concerned has got nothing to prove to anyone as to his ability.On this note I make bold to say that there is no one in the creative possition in Everton mid field who can lace Iwobi’ s boot.To think that James Rodriguez was the reason Iwobi is not in the team shows the calibre of Coach Anceloti is now is.James has not played any meaningful football since Beryern refused to exercise option to buy him after the loan spell over a year ago.(if he was that good he would have remained with beryern) more so,it was obvious in the match against Toteharm that at some point James became so tired and was gasping for breath.The guy is not fit.
Iwobi cannot be blamed for Everton’s woes last season,in fact the entire team was poor last season.The front men were playing for themselves without recourse to the team.Richardlison was so selfish and inconsiderate.Iwobi was the only person making the meaniful passes only when he gets the ball,he was starved of the ball by the team.
The same Davies that made the team ahead of Iwobi was the most useless player in that team last season.He played like a blind man and yet made the bench this time around.Trust me if Iwobi had agreed to play for England he will not be out of the team by now no matter how poor he may be.Habbba!! Iwobi can’t be that bad as not to make an Everton team, no way.Like I said am yet to see any justifiable reason why he should not be in that team Aside from bias.
Carlos Ancheloti,is now just an ordinary Coach with little to offer as a coach.In recent times he has left a team worst than he has met it.From Beryern,to Napoli is the same story.He has lost the touch that made him one of the best in the world.Am not worried about the bench role of Iwobi as I know that in no time Carlos will be sacked again and Iwobi will return.Carlos style of football now is stiff and very predictable reason he did not go far at Beryern and more recently Napoli.The team inherited from him by Gennaro Gartuso gave him so much problems until he was able to gradually stabilise it.
Don’t get me wrong,am not saying Iwobi don’t have areas of his game to improve,but not enough to keep him in an Everton bench and for who! James Rodriguez!! No unacceptable. The same blunder the previous Asenal coach made selling Iwobi to bring in pepe,only to discover that it was a wrong decision.
There are few players of Iwobi calibre in the league,having the ability to unlock any defence.Only if u want to play a Morhiho like football will u not appreciate him.

I read a news just now that he’s injured in training before their first match
Apparently,he was injured in training days before the Carabao cup.Meaning he was injured in the weekend when Tottenham hosted Everton,so let’s keep fingers crossed and see what happens when he returns back from injury.
However,the season is still very early and a lot could happen as the season progresses.There would be injuries,cards and lose of form even from those who started strongly.Many players who win awards for their clubs at the end of the season most times started slowly.So let’s hope our Iwobi finishes strongly by the time the season comes to conclusion.
