Celtic interim head coach Martin O’Neill has revealed that no decision has been made regarding the future of Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho joined the Hoops on a free transfer last summer following his departure from LaLiga side Sevilla.
However, the 29-year-old has endured an injury-hit spell since arriving at Celtic Park, raising early concerns about his long-term prospects at the club.
Now back to full fitness, the forward is regaining form at a crucial stage of the season as Celtic push to retain their league title.
He made a significant impact on Sunday, coming off the bench to score the winner in a 2-1 victory over Hibernian at Easter Road.

The former Manchester City player has netted seven goals in the Scottish Premiership this season.
O’Neil On Iheanacho’s Future
O’Neill emphasized that Iheanacho’s priority should be maintaining his fitness and continuing to improve.
“That’s a conversation for another day. Right now, his fitness is the most important thing, and he has to keep proving that he’s fit on the field,” O’Neill said after the win over Hibernian.
“What he’s done for us has been terrific, especially recently. The club will weigh up his overall contribution against his injuries over the whole season.
“Although he says he’s very young, time does catch up with players—though I think he’s only 29 or 30. If the club keeps him, he would benefit greatly from a proper three or four-week pre-season.”
