Europa Conference League champions Crystal Palace have announced the signing of defender Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea.
Palace confirmed the signing in a statement on Wednesday.
“The 28-year-old centre-back, who was part of the France squad which finished runners-up at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, appearing in the Final – joins the Eagles on loan for the rest of the 2026/27 season.
“Born in the Parisian suburbs, Disasi’s senior breakthrough arrived at nearby Paris FC, before he moved to – and won the Ligue 2 title with – Reims.
“His form there earned him a transfer to Monaco, where Disasi spent three seasons – scoring on his debut and making 129 appearances – before joining Chelsea in 2023.
“He has since made 58 Premier League appearances across spells with Chelsea, where he lifted the UEFA Conference League; Aston Villa; and West Ham United.

“He has five senior caps for France and over 300 senior club matches under his belt, including 22 across the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.”
Speaking after completing the move, Disasi said on Palace’s website:”I’m very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going.
“I know that it’s very tough to play against Palace at Selhurst Park – so I’m looking forward to being on the other side now!”
Disasi now joined the likes of Benoit Badiashile (loan to Napoli), Alejandro Garnacho (loan to Aston Villa), and Trevoh Chalobah (permanent transfer to Como) as notable names who have left Chelsea in this summer transfer window.
