Chelsea have accidently revealed that Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic has joined the club on a permanent basis. The Croatia midfielder spent last season on loan at Stamford Bridge, but there have been question marks over whether or not he will sign on a permanent basis.

Chelsea do have the option to sign him, despite being under a transfer ban after the deal was put in place 12 months ago, and it looks as though they have let the cat out of the bag. The Blues have yet to officially announce the deal. However, an interview with the player, confirming how happy he is to sign on a permanent basis, appeared on the official club app on Saturday night before being taken down quickly.
However, that did not stop some fans from screen-shotting it and posting it all over social media for all to see. Chelsea are expected to officially unveil the capture of the 25-year-old at some point this week, but the move will now come as no surprise.
