Chelsea are closing on a deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Adarabioyo is due to leave Fulham this summer after turning down chance to renew his contract.
Newcastle United have been working for weeks to sign the centre-back, but Chelsea have now hijacked the deal.
The Blues have reportedly reached the final stages of negotiation and are very close to making him the club’s first signing in the Enzo Maresca era.

The Nigerian-born defender will take the place of Thiago Silva in Chelsea’s squad.
Silva rejoined his boyhood club Fluminense last month.
Adarabioyo has been a consistent performer for Fulham since his arrival at the club.
The 26-year-old moved to the Craven Cottage from Manchester City in 2020.

Keep inviting your Igbokwe and co and telling us it is not your job to convince this type of player to play for his father and mother’s land. No wahala you will bundle yourself out of a job in SE soon.
You want us to believe you have what it takes to be a high-end coach yet you can’t reason tht Tosin Plays play with week in week out with 2 of SE’s most important players at Club Level and that already existing cohesion can be beneficial to SE not to mention he is an Obvious Upgrade to Ajayi..
No wahala OGA FINIDI NO WAHALA..
With all due respect to Ajayi
Thank you Ugo. What an awful statement from him. Well I wish him well anyway. Though Tosin is not serious with his career. He is just wasting his time waiting for England. Just like akpoguna wasted his good years.
@ Ugo no apology. You said it all. Let him continue to deceive himself, putting a phone through him is not too much . Tosin doesn’t seem to fancy playing for Nigeria although this may change if we qualify for world cup. His pattern of play doesn’t favor him and Tomori at Three lion. England want gragra type player at the back.
