Chukwueze Celebrates 20th Birthday Bash In Umuahia

Nigeria youngster, Samuel Chukwueze, on Sunday celebrated his 20th birthday in Umuahia amidst pomp and pageantry, Completesports.com reports.

The Villarreal midfielder was physically present at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday when Abia Warriors dispatched Kano Pillars 3-0 in the final matchday-22 fixture of the abridged 2018/2019 NPFL season to ease their top flight relegation worries. He invited Abia Warriors players and their officials to his birthday bash.

Also part of the fun and merriment were his former academy club, Diamond Football Academy amongst other football confraternities.

Chukwueze, who is a summer transfer target of a host of European clubs including FC Barcelona, refused to speak with the press during the Abia Warriors/Kano Pillars match but quickly left the stadium at half time.

Chukwueze is amongst the Gernot Rohr’s 25-man provisional Super Eagles squad ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off in Egypt on June 21.

He was part of Emmanuel Amuneke’s U-17 Golden Eaglets squad that conquered the World at Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Chukwueze was also a member of the 2016 Flying Eagles squad that failed to qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup following defeat to Sudan in the final qualifying games on away goals rule.

Hmmmmm Chukwueze, not everybody that smiles with you really loves you oh. You are inviting Abia warriors players and officials to your 20th birthday party. Most of these people are over 20 years, some are even in their 30s and 40s but have not achieved what you have achieved. I pray God protects you while you are in Nigeria but you must also be careful and protect yourself. I would have preferred a low key birthday celebration with close family and friends instead of inviting academy players some of whom may never get the same opportunity as you are getting right now. Finally, remember that kidnapping and armed robbery are still rife in Umuahia. May God protect you and grant you success.
