Chukwueze Creates Record Against Barcelona

Samuel Chukwueze continued his impressive scoring form against Barcelona at the Estadio de la Ceramica, home ground of Villarreal, but it was not enough as they fell to a 3-1 loss in Saturday’s LaLiga fixture.

It was Chukwueze’s first league goal since April where he also scored against Barcelona in a 2-1 home defeat.

The Super Eagles star, who came on in the 65th minute, scored with 14 minutes left to cancel out Frenkie de Jong’s opener for Barca.

However, two late goals from Memphis Depay (88th minute) and Philippe Coutinho (94th minute penalty) earned Barcelona their first away win in the league this season.

And getting on the score sheet on Saturday means Chukwueze has now scored more LaLiga goals against Barcelona at La Cerámica than any other Villarreal player (three goals in four games).

Meanwhile, the loss to Barca has seen Villarreal winless in their last three games in all competitions (two defeats and one draw).

While for Xavi’s Barca, they are unbeaten in their last six games, recording three wins and three draws.

someone who just came in from injury, you wanna rush him in, even he got in just 65th minute and scored and the time he was invited man was just coming back from injury and its good for the coach to have a feel of his player, and not rush him, like you lots and the nff are already crying to bring Victor Osihmen back not thinking of his health, that’s how we lost Sam Okparaji, we need to assesss players mental strenght, all you lots wants hes back from injury use him, can he run 90 minutes, he has to build back his strenght and mental fit. Get that. Football is not about how you lots see it, criticising Rohr, go tell you nff to go get you lots a coach now, that you all want Rohr sacked.

They don’t know anything about football; How it’s played or how’s its managed. They have fallen for the deception of politicians again. In the end the charlatans will clean out and the country looses.

My question to you presh. Why should the 9ja coach invite him if he knows that he is just coming back from injuries and not fully fit for a world qulifying match? This our coach get serios problem.

We need a new ciach. Let Amunike take over.

    • Oga, if the coach believes he is an important player there is nothing wrong by easing him into the team again gradually. I have nothing against sacking Rohr as long as we have a better replacement. But I think we should not be lousy in our criticism. We need to take it easy. Abba!
