Manchester City youngster Philippe Sandler is expected to join Anderlecht on a season-long loan deal. The 22-year-old, who joined the Premier League champions from PEC Zwolle last summer, has been targeted by former team-mate Vincent Kompany, who is now in charge of Anderlecht.
Reports say the centre-back is close to agreeing a loan move and the switch could be completed by Monday. Sandler made just two senior appearances in Pep Guardiola’s side last term, one in the League Cup and one in the FA Cup, and will head to Belgium in the hope of getting some regular first-team action.
