Clarke Linked With Cottagers Role

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke has been linked with taking over from under-pressure Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri. The Cottagers are eight points from safety after a disappointing run since former Fulham manager Ranieri took charge at Craven Cottage.

With Fulham preparing for a crucial encounter against fellow strugglers Southampton on Wednesday, Ranieri could be on the verge of losing his position at the west London outfit if they don’t get a positive results against Saints.

Former Chelsea assistant boss Clarke has been earning praise for his efforts north of the border and there are reports he could make a return to the English game.
Fulham are believed to be looking at alternatives for Ranieri and it appears Clarke is towards the top of their wishlist.
