Clarke Linked With Fulham Vacancy

Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Fulham.

The Cottagers have been looking for a new permanent manager since Claudio Ranieri was relieved of his duties in February although interim boss Scott Parker did his chances of getting the job on a full-time basis no harm following last weekend’s 2-0 win over Everton.

However, with Fulham facing up to life back in the Championship next term, they may be keen to bring in a manager with more experience and former West Brom and Reading boss Clarke would appear to fit the bill.

The 55-year-old has impressed during his time at Kilmarnock, guiding the East Ayrshire club to third in the Scottish Premiership standings, but he has recently indicated he may have unfinished business south of the border.

Clarke, who has just over a year to run on his current contract with Killie, has also been linked with becoming Scotland’s new manager if the SFA opt to part ways with Alex McLeish, so Fulham may have to move quickly.

The former Scotland international has links to west London as he is a former Chelsea player and assistant manager.
