Jamilu Collins’ Bundesliga B side SC Paderborn closed in on automatic promotion to the top flight division following a comfortable 4-1 home win against Hamburg at the Benteler-Arena on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Paderborn consolidated on second position in the table with 57 points from 33 matches going into the final game of the season next weekend.
Steffen Baumgart’s men will travel to Dynamo Dresden for their final game where a win will ensure promotion to the Bundesliga.
Collins has featured in all of Paderborn’s 33 league matches this season but he is yet to find the back of the net.
Their main rival for the automatic promotion spot, Union Berlin also defeated Magdeburg 3-0 on Sunday.
Union Berlin have amassed 56 points from 33 games and need Paderborn to slip up on the final day to move ahead of them on the log.
Koln who suffered a 5-3 home loss to Jahn Regensburg in another Bundesliga B game have already sealed their place in the top flight.
