Complete Sports Bags WIPO Award For Sports Promotion, Entertainment

Complete Sports emerged as one of the recipients of the “Corporate Awards” at the World Intellectual Property Day 2019.

The event organised by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held at the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Secretariat in Lagos over the weekend.

The special award according to the organisers WIPO, was given in honour and recognition of Complete Sports as one of the organisations whose labour and investments promote sports and lead to the thrill fans feel on match days.

On Ground to receive the special award was Alhaji Mumini Alao, the Group Managing Director of Complete Communications Limited, publishers of Complete Sports.

Speaking on the award, Alao thanked the organisers while dedicating the award to the Chairman of CCL, Dr. (Pastor) Emmanuel Ojeagbase and all sports fans who patronise Complete Sports.

The program which also featured a Public Lecture under the theme, “Reach For Gold: IP & Sports”, had Bar. Beverly Agbakoba-Onyejiana as the Guest Lecturer. Bar. Funmi Iyayi gave Special Presentation while Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo who is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Friends of the Creator (Artistic) Foundation (FCF) delivered the welcome address.

Other recipients of corporate awards include Aiteo Group, Channels TV, Brila FM, Nilayo Sports Management Ltd, Multichoice and Betnaija, while Chief Segun Odegbami (MON), Enefiok Udobong, Nduka Iraboh, Solomon Ogba and Abdulhakeem Mustapha were recipients in the individual awards category.
