Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti says his team played really well following their 2-1 win over Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, May 6 at the Estadio de la Cartuja.
Brazilian star Rodrygo scored both goals for Los Blancos while Lucas Torro scored Osasuna’s only goal.
Ancelotti highlighted Rodrygo’s impact on the game.
“We played really well for the first half an hour, Vini Jr was unstoppable,” Realmadrid.com quoted Ancelotti as saying
“Then I don’t know what happened and I calmed him down a bit. This team needs to do one thing, and one thing only: play good football. Anything else is a loss of control and concentration.
“We didn’t start the second half well, we struggled a bit and they levelled, but fortunately Rodrygo changed the course of the game.”
Los Blancos have won the Copa del Rey 20 times.
Up next for Real Madrid is a UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg fixture with Manchester City on Tuesday, May 9 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
