Crystal Palace Confident New Eze Bid Will Be Accepted

Premier League side Crystal Palace are confident a new bid for Eberechi Eze will be accepted by, Football Insider understands.

Eze, 22, has emerged as a top summer target for Roy Hodgson’s Palace after an impressive campaign at Loftus Road.

Crystal Palace had an offer worth £12million plus add-ons rejected by QPR last month and recruitment source told Football Insider they are set to return to the negotiating table with an improved offer.

Selhurst Park chiefs are confident their planned new bid for Eze will be accepted by the Championship club.

That could force West Ham to make a matching offer or force them out of the running and leave Crystal Palace free to persuade the player.

It is believed a fee of £16m is likely to be enough to persuade QPR to cash in on their prize asset.

Eze has entered the final year of his contract and this window represents their last real chance of securing a mammoth price unless they can persuade him to sign a new contract.

The former Millwall man has dazzled for a mid-table Championship team, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists from QPR’s 46 league matches this season.

Crystal Palace made an enquiry for Eze late in the January window after losing out to West Ham in the race for Jarrod Bowen.

The QPR man is so highly rated that the club’s director of football Les Ferdinand even tipped him to make the England squad for next summer’s European Championships.
