Cullen Upbeat On Sexton Fitness

Leinster boss Leo Cullen claims Johnny Sexton is close to being back to full fitness ahead of Ireland’s Six Nations clash with England.

The British & Irish Lions fly-half, who has continued to attract comments from England head coach Eddie Jones, has been struggling with a knee injury and has been out of action for almost the last month.

However, the 2018 World Player of the Year should be fit a fresh when Ireland welcome England to the Aviva Stadium on February 2, according to his Leinster coach Cullen.

“Johnny is good, he was back running last week,” Cullen told BBC 5 live. “He is not a million miles away, and hopefully we will see him out in green over the course of the next few weeks.”
