Davis In Broncos Loan Return

Warrington Wolves have allowed second-rower Matt Davis to rejoin former club London Broncos on a one-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old picked up the player-of-the-season award with the Broncos last year after they secured promotion back to the Super League via the Million Pound Game, when they defeated Toronto Wolfpack 4-2.

Davis missed that game in Canada due to injury but did enough to impress Warrington, who offered him a two-year contract to move from London ahead of the 2019 season.

But he has struggled to force his way into Wolves coach Steve Price’s plans in the first four matches of the campaign and will now get an opportunity to gain some game-time with the Broncos – starting with Friday’s daunting trip to St Helens.

“Matty is a great lad with an attitude to match and we are sure he will add lots to the group,” Broncos head coach Danny Ward told the club website.

“He was a big part of the Broncos and what we have achieved over the last few years and it’s great to have him back.”
