Cyriel Dessers is delighted to be back in the Super Eagles after a two-year absence from the team, reports Completesports.com.
Dessers, who was born to a Belgian father and Nigerian mother made his Super Eagles debut in a friendly against Tunisia in October, 2020.
The 27-year-old has however failed to add to the cap despite his impressive form at club level.
The forward has another chance to prove his class at the international level under new manager Jose Peseiro.
Dessers is in Nigeria’s squad for the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.
The striker linked up with his teammates in camp on Friday.
“Really happy to be back. Looking forward to the game. I hope to see the fans in Abuja”Dessers told the Super Eagles media.

The Super Eagles will take on Mexico at the AT &T Stadium, Arlington, Texas on Saturday (today).
Dessers and his teammates will also keep a date with Ecuador at the Red Bull Arena, Harrison on Thursday.
The West Africans are using both games to prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone and Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.

One reason why this striker is unique is because he is ambidextrous with both feet.Most strikers will shoot with their favourite foot but not dessers. He also appears to have a strong mentality which is pivotal for success and a good attitude.
If this guy hits the ground running he could usurp osimhen for the no.9 jersey. Osimhen is perhaps the most talented striker in the SE but has the worst attitude. If he does not fix up, he may never attain the heights his talent commands. Those around him should advise him to ‘remain humble, that is the way to the top.
My happiness is that Desser proved the carpenter coach Equavoen wrong, Equavoen is the most clueless and worthless coach that Nigeria have ever had !!…We told him to pick Desser in order to save his career but he stated he has never watched him play, I hope he will watch him tonight from his village ?…well Desser, you are very good and I believe in you , work towards giving us the Afcon next year , we love your patriotism and dedication to be part of the super eagles , we are happy you back , God be with you , we love you !!
